WIMBERLEY, Texas -- Hays County law enforcement officials are investigating a shooting at a Wimberley home which forced the nearby high school to go under lockdown for a short amount of time Friday.
The Hays County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the 300 block of Rader Ranch Road around noon. They say a person was shot and has been taken to an Austin hospital. The extent of his or her injuries is unknown.
Authorities say they have the shooter surrounded and barricaded inside the home.
An officer said Wimberley High School is no longer under lockdown. School is not in session, but a basketball game was going on in the school's gym at the time. Officials say all children and staff members are safe.
