CEDAR PARK -- Cedar Park Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Walmart.

Police say four young men, ages 18-19, were shot by another teen.

A woman who works near the Walmart but does not want to be identified told reporters she heard the gunshots.

"This morning at 4:30 a.m. I heard a 'pop, pop, pop'. Like firecrackers and all of a sudden I saw police and ambulance," she said.

Police say a crowd of teenagers met in the middle of the parking lot at the store near Hwy.183 and FM 1431, ready to finish a fight they started earlier.

"This stemmed from a party that occurred possibly somewhere either in Williamson County or Leander, in which there was alcohol consumed at that party," explained Cedar Park Police Chief Henry Fluck.

Fluck says 18-year-old Soloman Onwukaife pulled out a handgun, shooting the four unidentified victims. He said it was the quick response of a police officer that led to Onwukaife's arrest.

"The responding patrol officer got there very promptly, within three to four minutes from the call, and he confronted the suspect at gunpoint and the suspect complied," said Fluck.

Three of the four victims are in critical but stable condition at local hospitals. The fourth victim was treated and released. Onwukaife is also in the hospital being treated for a face injury that occurred during the fight; however, he is in police custody. Onwukaife is charges with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

None of the Walmart employees or customers were injured. The store closed briefly as police conducted their investigation and re-opened around 9:00 a.m.

Cedar Park police are still working to find out if any of the other teens brought guns to the store.
