HOLLYWOOD PARK, Texas (AP) — A replacement has been chosen for a South Texas mayor found dead after apparently being attacked by a donkey on his ranch.

The Hollywood Park City Council on Tuesday night chose businessman Mark Perry to succeed Mayor William "Bill" Bohlke (BOHL'-kee).

Bohlke's body was located Aug. 27 by searchers after he didn't return home from his Atascosa (a-tuhs-KOH'-suh) County ranch.

Mayor Pro Tem Steve Phillips says Perry was the only person to submit a resume to become mayor.

The San Antonio Express-News (bit.ly/QEPDNC) reports Perry is a political newcomer with 18 years of business operations and sales executive experience. He's worked for Globalscape, Fujitsu America, Symantec and AT&T Technical Services Co.

Hollywood Park is a city of about 3,000 located just north of San Antonio.
