SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A fourth man has died from a fire at a San Antonio group home for the mentally disabled.
San Antonio Fire Department spokeswoman Deborah Foster said Friday that a 23-year-old Jesse Brooks died after being critically hurt in this week's blaze at the Amistad Residential Facility. Three other residents were also killed.
Foster said the cause of Wednesday night's fire remains unknown. She says the investigation is likely to take a long time.
A group caretaker and nine other residents escaped the fire unharmed. The four victims were all found on the second floor.
