HOUSTON – A teenage boy was rushed to the hospital late Thursday night after police said he was shot in the head with a BB gun.

It happened around 10 p.m. in the 2900-block of Fulton at Halpern, not far from downtown Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, the 13-year-old boy and his brother were playing with the high-powered BB gun when it went off, shooting him in the head.

He was sent to Texas Children’s Hospital in stable condition.

HPD said it was an accident, and no charges were expected in the case. They left the gun with the teen's parents.
