TYLER, Texas (AP) — Authorities in East Texas are seeking a 31-year-man in connection with a double slaying.
The Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office issued a capital murder warrant for Donny Lee Greenhow on Saturday, the day after deputies discovered two decomposing bodies in a mobile home east of Ben Wheeler.
Sheriff Pat Burnett said his office was responding to a welfare call from a relative concerned that no one answered the door.
Authorities declined to confirm the victims' identities until autopsies were done.
The Tyler Morning Telegraph (http://bit.ly/PuMATL ) reports records show that 74-year-old Peter Shick and 55-year-old Latricia Shick lived at the home.
A family member said the couple's vehicle was missing.
The sheriff said an SUV stolen from Kaufman County earlier in the week was found at the scene.
