CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says a body found on a Coastal Bend beach is that of a man who had been missing since swimming near the Port Aransas jetties on Sunday.
A Coast Guard statement says Port Aransas police found the body around midday Tuesday. No identity was released, but the statement says the man had been part of a party of four men swimming off the city jetties Sunday afternoon, only two of whom returned safely to shore.
Port Aransas police recovered the body of another swimmer on Sunday.
