Texas charges to 11th in AP Top 25 Poll

The Longhorns’ win over Notre Dame on Sunday was one of several upsets that shook up the AP Top 25 Poll, with Texas making its debut on the weekly poll Tuesday ranked 11th in the nation.

Texas, who started the season outside the Top 25, defeated No. 10 Notre Dame Sunday 50-47 in overtime. The Fighting Irish fell to No. 18 in the second week of the poll.

Alabama and Clemson kept their No. 1 and No. 2 rankings after victories over then-ranked No. 20 USC and Auburn, respectively. Florida State moved up to No. 3 while Ohio State and Michigan both rose two spots to fill the gap left by Oklahoma, who fell to No. 14 after their 33-23 loss to Houston.
