Somerset residents are encouraged to contineu using water given out by the San Antonio Water System through Wednesday.

Water out the taps may be used if it's boiled first.

Somerset’s Mayor Paul Cuellar, says that the problem started Monday when a gas company hit a water line.

SAWS made the repairs that same day and water pressure was back to normal by Tuesday. SAWS says that there is no contamination of the water. The boil notice is a standard procedure when water pressure goes down. SAWS said that this will give time for any sediment to be flushed out.

A water station has been set up for residents to pick up water at the Somerset City Hall.

Residents streamed into the water station all day Tuesday. Most were worried about family members.

"My Father, he’s 88 year old. He's like, he tells me, 'Mija, bring me some water from somewhere,'” said Venilda Hernandez.

Others were worried about their pets and horses.
"They drink up to 30 gallons a day," said Jeannie Vidal. "So I just want to make sure they're taken care of. That’s my main concern."
