PHOTOS: Give it a go: Electric cars demo'd at S.A. expo
David Taylor of Dallas-based Electric Mobile Cars, LLC brought one of his models to show off at the downtown convention. They take Renault bodies and outfit them with a batttery. Full production will begin in September. For now they only have 16 employees, but look for them to be growing as the interest in electrics soars. "We just decided we don't want to be the guy standing on the porch saying, 'It's coming! It's coming!'" said the EMC rep.
