Peggy Spring, COSA Natural Areas education coordinator says: Friedrich Wilderness Park is home to many small, medium and large mammals like this cottontail rabbit. The rabbit’s large ears gather sound very effectively and help it escape from predators and its habit of ‘freezing’ can make it almost invisible at times as the fur blends in well with the surroundings.
