San Pedro Springs Park
San Pedro Springs Park is a nice place to stop awhile under tall cypress trees. It is the city's oldest park, too. There is only one park in the country older than San Pedro Springs Park, according to the city's website, and that is in Boston. They say Spanish explorers set up camp here in the 17th century. I can not imagine how many San Antonio children learned to swim in this large pool since it was built in the 1920s . I am one. The fence surrounding the pool goes up during summer months, but for now, it is open and lovely.
