SLIDESHOW: Biking the North Salado Creek Greenway

The way is quiet and peaceful, the path wide enough for parents with children in tow. The few road crossings are clearly marked, and seem safe enough as long as you keep watch of the kids. They will enjoy biking along the boardwalk the sits a couple of feet off the marshy ground. There is no seating here, for they would wash away or suffer damage with recurrent flooding of the Salado. But, the path is level here, so it is not a problem, and the thump, thump, thump of your tires is a rewarding pleasure.
