Fourteen beautiful girls competed for the crown in the Miss Helotes Scholarship Pageant at Sandra Day O'Connor High School on Sunday, April 29 2012. Among the dazzling competitors was KENS 5 meteorologist Bill Taylor, who emceed the event. The scholarship is funded by the city's annual Cornyval celebration, being held this year on May 3 to May 6. Contestants included: Alayah Benavidez, Alyson Claire-Bentley, Brooke Biddell, Caitlyn Connel, Christianna Reimherr, Kaitlyn Barron, Kayla Klar, Kayla Sims, Kayley Burke, Krystal Bueno, Rebecca Jo Walker, Reeca Rodriguez, Robin Hunley and McCall Balero.
