The Battle of Flowers Band Festival was held Thursday night, April 26, 2012, as Alamo Stadium. Nearly two dozen bands performed routines in the parade around the track, and several performed shows on the field. At the end of the night, all of the musicians played together in several combined songs, concluding with fireworks.

The 5-A winner of this year's Battle of Flowers Band Festival was John Jay High School. First Place in the 4-A division was Kennedy High School, while the top place for 3-A went to La Vernia High School.
The People's Choice Award for most crowd-pleasing performance went to Clark High School.
