Man shot in possible dispute with woman, police say

Police said a man was shot in the thigh on the city's south side.

SAN ANTONIO - Police said a man in his 30s was shot early Friday morning in a possible dispute with a woman.

The San Antonio Police Department told KENS 5 at the scene that officers are in the early stages of the investigation, but it's possible the incident involved one woman's ex boyfriend and her current boyfriend.

SAPD said the woman's current boyfriend was the victim in this case, and he was rushed to University Hospital with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. in the 5800 block of Branch Valley Street on the city's south side

The woman in question has also been detained and is a suspect in this case, according to police.
