When you know the answer to a teacher's question, you should raise your hand. Right?

Not at one school in England, where the students are learning a new, less-distracting way to indicate they'd like the teacher to call on them.

According to The Daily Mail, the students at Burlington Junior School are being asked to use a thumbs-up sign without raising their arm at all.

Administrators call the practice "calmer and inclusive," the Daily Mail reports. It also prevents students at the back of the class from having their view blocked by raised arms.
