A young Canadian boy has a tough time dealing with his food allergies, but that's not his biggest battle.

He's also the target of bullies -- all because he can't be around nuts.

Seven-year-old Nevin Prevost has a severe nut allergy and keeps his epi pen close.

In his French class, Prevost said his classmate intentionally rubbed nut-contaminated hands on his shoulder.

He was so mortified that he went home in a panic and scrubbed his face.

Although he did not suffer an allergic reaction, he has been cautious ever since.

"For about a month after, he was quite nervous that people might touch him and he might get hurt," said Kerri McDonald, Nevin's mother.

Experts say school administrators can be held liable or negligent for failing to protect kids who are victims of allergy bullying.
