CESTOHOWA -- Multiple passengers were injured after a Mexican band's tour bus flipped over on Highway 123 in Atascosa County early Friday morning.

Authorities said the accident was caused by a car that veered into the bus's lane, causing the driver to swerve and crash just south of Cestohowa around 8 a.m.

The bus, belonging to the Mexican band El Banda Recodo, was carrying 21 passengers at the time of the accident. Authorities said three of those passengers were flown to University Hospital.

The band announced on its Twitter account that everyone is OK. The message, originally written in Spanish, translates to the following:

"Thanks to all the people who have been worried about the accident we had overnight. Thankfully, we are all OK. Only a couple of fractures and bruises. We ask for your prayers for a speedy recovery."

Authorities said the 23-year-old woman who caused the wreck was taken to a local hospital.
