SAPD warns against fake Twitter account cracking Warriors jokes

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Police Department wants Twitter users to be aware of a fake account, claiming to be "the official Twitter page" of SAPD.

The @SAPDepartment account has tweeted information about arrests and re-tweeted local news outlets, for example.

The account is also making jokes about the Spurs' playoff run, including replying to Bleacher Report's official account.

"You never know what can happen. It'd be a shame if @zaza27 [Zaza Pachulia] was found in possession of narcotics," @SAPDepartment tweeted Monday following Kawhi Leonard's injury during Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors.

SAPD also noted its official Twitter handle is @SATXPolice and said that the fake account has been reported to Twitter.
