Early voting begins for June 10 runoff

Voters head out to polls for early voting on May 30

SAN ANTONIO - Head out to the polls Tuesday to decide who will be the mayor of the nation's seventh largest city.

It's a small ballot with key positions in play, one of the most important is who will be mayor of San Antonio.

Incumbent Mayor Ivy Taylor faces challenger Ron Nirenberg in this runoff election.

Taylor is a former councilwoman turned mayor and Nirenberg is a current council member trying to become mayor.

Six city council seats are on the ballot and the one gaining the most attention is district two where incumbent Alan Warrick is trying to keep William "Cruz" Shaw from taking the spot.

There are more than two dozen early voting sites opening up Tuesday and voters can cast their vote starting at 8 a.m.

Early voting is Tuesday through Saturday. Then, on Monday and Tuesday next week.
