Police: Man shot in NW-side home invasion

Man shot during home invasion

SAN ANTONIO -- Police said a man was shot during a northwest-side home invasion early Thursday morning. Officials confirmed that he died on Thursday afternoon.

The San Antonio Police Department told KENS 5 at the scene officers were looking for two suspects in connection with this incident. However, police said there were no witnesses.

It reportedly started as a robbery at the Oak Hills apartments on Northwest Military Drive.

Police said two men kicked the front door out of a third-floor apartment where a couple was sleeping in a bedroom.

At some point during the robbery, one of the suspects shot the man. Police said the woman was not hurt.

Police said this was "not a random attack," but they would not elaborate on a connection between the victims and possible suspects.

There was reportedly stolen property involved, but police did not give further details.

No arrests have been made in connection with this home invasion as of Thursday morning.
