Man drowns in Bandera County, sheriff's office says

BANDERA COUNTY, Texas - A 45-year-old man reportedly drowned in the Pipe Creek area of Bandera County Tuesday.

According to the Bandera County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. The Pipe Creek area is near Medina Lake.

The victim, Justin Rogers, lived in the area. He was near the banks of the water when he fell in and could not get out, according to the sheriff's office.

Chief Deputy Matt King said family members tried to pull Rogers out of the water and revive him, but it was too late.

An autopsy has also been requested.
