Kerrville Tivy teachers accused of relationships with students

KERRVILLE - Two teachers from the same high school are under investigation for improper relationships with students, a Kerrville Independent School District spokeswoman confirmed.

A letter from Superintendent Mark J. Foust went home to the parents of students who attend Tivy High School Wednesday.

The document stated the allegations are separate and unrelated.

The first allegation came to light on Sept 7, according to the letter. Foust wrote after KISD started investigating the matter that the teacher was placed on indefinite administrative leave.

Five days later, the district got an unrelated allegation at the same school. Foust wrote the teacher was also placed on indefinite administrative leave.

KISD's Public Relations Specialist Holly Vogt would not provide additional details including whether the alleged incidents happened on-campus.

The Kerrville Police Department is investigating both incidents.
