A man working for a tow yard was shot in the chest around 3 a.m. Friday.

SAN ANTONIO - A man working for a tow yard was shot twice in the chest around 3 a.m. Friday.

The tow yard owner tells KENS 5 it may all be a part of an ongoing saga with the south-west side tow yard and surrounding businesses in the 3100 block of Growdon Road just south of Highway 90.

The victim was shot in the chest as he began his opening duties early Friday.

His boss said the brother of another business owner on the property had recently began showing up and shooting into the air.

The victim who was shot in the chest was able to flag down another tow truck driver and get help. He was rushed to University Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Police are still searching for the shooter.
