Teen gunned down at Whataburger was leaving Reggie Adam's vigil

Deputies said that two teens killed within a day of one another k

Bexar County deputies say that an argument that took place at a vigil for a Converse teenager killed last week has led to a second deadly shooting of another teen.

Deputies were called out to a Whataburger at Walzem and FM 78 around 10:00 p.m. for a shooting.

Once on scene, deputies found a 15-year-old male dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Officials said the victim was attending a vigil for 16-year-old Reggie Adams when he and the suspect began arguing. The victim fled the vigil, ending up a few miles away at Whataburger, where the suspect gunned him down with a rifle.

Adams was shot and killed Sunday, just one day before the second shooting took place.

Investigators were able to make an arrest in Adam's death. They say 30-year-old David Martinez II confessed that drugs led him to the Town Square Apartment complex where he also admitted to shooting and killing Adams during that transaction.

Investigators said surveillance video led them to Martinez. They are hoping more surveillance footage will help them make an arrest in the teen gunned down at Whataburger.

Further details were not immediately available.
