Suspicious fire destroys 2 homes, cars

SAN ANTONIO – A suspicious fire destroyed two homes and multiple cars on the city’s northeast side.

The fire occurred near Cork Drive and according to fire officials, several calls came in just before noon Sunday.

Callers claimed one of the cars was on fire along with the two homes and a nearby shed.

Crews from eight different agencies were on scene but had a hard time getting to the burning homes.

"There were so many cars everyone trying to pull in here it really prohibited fire trucks from moving in here...we had to have cars move before we could get trucks in here," said Bexar Co. ESD 10 Chief Robert Hogan.
