Special Easter egg hunt held at Lighthouse for the Blind

Kids with special needs celebrated Easter with their own special egg hunt.

SAN ANTONIO - Laughter filled the air at the Lighthouse for the Blind on Saturday as the entire yard was transformed into a giant playground for an Easter egg hunt.

There were carnival games for kids with visual impairments that literally left many of them jumping for joy.

Because there were children with all kinds of different challenges, organizers took special care to adapt many of the games so everyone could take part in the fun.

The kids traded the beeping eggs for candy and prizes.

Organizers said the generous donors who made the day possible help the Lighthouse all year long by enriching the lives of some of San Antonio's smallest and most vulnerable citizens.
