SEGUIN, Texas – Within a minute of shots being fired, Seguin officers found two dead in a duplex.
A justice of the peace identified the victims as 64-year-old Belinda Sauceda and her 30-year-old son, Jeremy Sauceda.
According to Seguin Police Department deputy chief Ure, dispatch received the call at 5:45 a.m. Sunday regarding shots fired.
Within a minute, officers arrived at a duplex in the 500 block of East Baxter Street.
At the duplex, police found both victims shot to death.
There were multiple gunshots through the front door and door window.
During a canvas of the street, police learned that around 2:15 a.m. prior to the shooting, neighbors heard “loud banging” in the area.
Police said the reason officers answered so quickly was because they were at another call just a few blocks from the scene. An officer reported hearing five to six shots fired.
