SAN ANTONIO – Beginning Monday, a section of Ira Lee Road on the city’s northeast side will be closed for construction for about a year.
The construction is part of a $3.5 million dollar Bexar County flood control project to reduce flooding at the Salado Creek Crossing.
The county will close the section between Loop 410 and Laurens Lane to install a bridge.
Northbound traffic on Ira Lee will be re-directed to Laurens Lane and then to Oakwell Farms Parkway.
Southbound traffic will be directed to the eastbound Loop 410 access road and then to Starcrest.
