SAN ANTONIO - Sad news for Scorpions fans. The AT&T Center announced Monday the Scorpions are canceling their appearance on Wednesday, October 11.
The band released a statement saying the cancelation is due to severe laryngitis. In the statement, the band said all of the concert dates for the 2017 will have to be canceled. The band was touring with Megadeth.
“Klaus Meine has been advised by the top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent damage,” the statement reads.
The band went on to say, “We truly hate to disappoint our fans and hope to return to America soon, but at this time, we have no choice but to cancel.”
The statement said tickets will be refunded at the point of sale.
