SAPD looking for woman who lured cab driver into robbery

SAN ANTONIO - SAPD and Crime Stoppers need the public’s help in finding a man and woman responsible for the aggravated robbery of a cab driver.

Police said on Saturday, April 8 a woman ordered a cab from the Yellow Cab Taxi service in San Antonio.

The woman was picked up at the Chase bank in the 3600 block of Culebra Road and had the driver take her to a location about a mile away, police said.

Authorities said when they arrived at the destination a man smashed through the cab driver’s window and aimed a handgun at him.

The woman also pulled out a handgun and pointed it toward the driver. Police said she then proceeded to steal the driver’s belongings.

The man and woman fled on foot.

The female suspect is pictured in surveillance video from the cab.
