San Antonians keep some New Year's resolutions, but not others

SAN ANTONIO - Didn't keep your resolutions for 2017? Blame the your hometown.

San Antonio ranks 44th on the list of best cities for keeping New Year's resolutions, according to WalletHub rankings. That puts San Antonio ahead of the majority of the 182 cities surveyed. Residents of Austin did much better, coming in at 9th overall. 

Seattle was the best place to live and keep resolutions and coming in at No. 182 was Gulfport, Miss.

San Antonio ranked 99th in the Health Resolutions category, calculated from a statistical gumbo including obesity rates, health-food stores and gyms per capita, 108th in the Financial Resolutions category, an impressive 11th in the Work and School categories and 32nd in Relationship Resolutions, based on nightlife establishments per capita, average wedding cost and sports-fan friendliness, among other factors.
