SAN ANTONIO -- Imagine making your bed 17 times a day. For the hardest working people in the hotel industry, they proved just how hard that job can be.
Wednesday people competed at the 11th Annual Bed Making competition for the San Antonio Lodging Association, a bed making championship at the Freeman Coliseum.
Since making a bed is serious a business, it’s no wonder why this year’s team from the Westin River Walk showed up in a Hummer limo.
Their battlefield? Ten unmade beds and the clock.
“Just think about making your bed at home and think about doing that 16 times a day!” said Bill Petrella, General Manager at the Westin River Walk and SAHLA President. “It’s not an easy job. Probably the hardest in the hotel.”
