Police seek identity of suspect who robbed north-side store

SAN ANTONIO – Police are seeking the identity of a man who stole money from a north-side store.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. on May 28 when police said a Hispanic man entered the Corner Food Mart in the 5300 block of Blanco Road and demanded money from the cashier.

As the suspect approached the counter, he lifted his sweatshirt to expose a handgun in his waistband, police said.

According to police, the cashier feared for his life and placed the money from the register on the counter. The suspect then grabbed the money and fled on foot.

The suspect’s face was partially covered by the hood of his sweatshirt but police describe him as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30-years-old, approximately 5’10” and weighing around 200 pounds.
