SAN ANTONIO – Police are actively searching for the driver who hit a 10-year-old boy in November 2016 and drove off.
The accident happened on November 27, 2016, in the 4800 block of Cambray when a 10-year-old boy was getting something from a car parked on the street from the home he was visiting.
After retrieving the item, the boy had to cross the street to get back to the home. He told police he looked down the street and thought the black car approaching would stop.
As he crossed the street he was hit by the black car.
Police identified the driver as a female. According to police, she stopped the car briefly but never got out.
She drove off without rendering any assistance or aid to the boy, according to police.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information which leads to the arrest of the driver responsible for failure to stop and render aid.
