Officer dodges bullets during burglary call, police say

SAN ANTONIO - A police officer was shot at while responding to a burglary call at a west-side apartment complex, police said.

It happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Horal Drive on the city west side.

Police said someone began firing at an officer as he approached the apartment and luckily, was not hit. The apartment allegedly had bullet holes in the walls and a broken window.

Police said five people were detained, including the tenant and suspected shooter. However, no arrests have been made.
