'Ferrari Kid' nonprofit supports kids with cancer, hosts red carpet movie event

Kids fighting cancer got the superhero treatment Saturday at a Cars 3 movie event.

SAN ANTONIO - The Santikos Palladium was invaded by superheroes Saturday, but we're not talking about superheroes on the big screen.

The real heroes are some of the kids who attended the event. They are battling cancer and were treated to a free movie thanks to the nonprofit organization TheFerrariKid.org.

Instead of chemo and cancer treatments, the kids got the chance to just be kids.

They walked the red carpet and took pictures with KENS 5’s Karen Grace, Miss San Antonio, Miss San Antonio Teen and Lighting McQueen from Cars.
