NISD officials: Middle school parent assaults 8th grader

SAN ANTONIO - NISD officials said Thursday the parent of a sixth grade student assaulted an eighth grade student in the restroom of Jordan Middle School.

Officials said this happened on Wednesday. According to a press release, a man and woman, who are parents of two sixth grade students came to the school in the morning for a meeting with administrators.

NISD officials said before the meeting, the man and woman left the office area and walked down the school hallway.

They then went into a girl’s restroom and the man assaulted an eighth grade student who was in the restroom, NISD police said.

After leaving the restroom, staff members brought the adults back to the office where they were questioned by a campus police officer. The man left, but the woman stayed on campus.

Officials said the woman provided false identification for the man. NISD has begun a full investigation.

Both SAPD and CPS have been notified of the incident.
