Man shot, woman knocked unconscious in east-side home invasion

SAN ANTONIO -- A shooting victim and a woman sucker punched by three masked men sought emergency treatment at a San Antonio fire station after their home was invaded, according to police.

The San Antonio Police Department said officers responded to the 500 block of Delmar Street for a reported shooting before 4 a.m. Friday. The victims were nearby at a San Antonio fire station trying to get help.

According to the victims, three men dressed in black clothing with bandanas over their faces got into the home.

The invaders hit a 35-year-old woman in the face, police said. She was knocked unconscious. Next, they shot the male victim in the pelvic area.

Police said the armed masked men did not make any demands. It's unclear whether they took anything from the home. They reportedly face a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victims said they flagged a friend down, and that friend took them to SAFD.
