Man fatally stabbed on city's west side

SAN ANTONIO – A man was fatally stabbed Saturday afternoon on the city’s west side.

Police responded to a call on the 500 block of Ruiz Street for a cutting. When officers arrived on scene they found the victim laying by the entrance of the Pik-Nik convenience store. He appeared to have been stabbed several times to his torso.

The victim was transported to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital.

According to police, they believe the suspect involved is a 5’5” male wearing a navy blue shirt.
