Man and woman arrested after meetup for sex ends in robbery

Two people were arrested after a planned meetup for sex turned violent, according to the police.

SAN ANTONIO - Two people were arrested in a case involving a “Backpage” meetup and an assault.

Deputies arrested 19-year-old Tabreya Williams and 20-year-old Darrian Roberts. They are both charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Sheriff’s Office investigators said back in August, the victim contacted a woman through Backpage.com. The woman went to the man’s house with another woman and the victim said he was assaulted, held at gunpoint and robbed.

The victim said three masked men were also involved, along with the other two women.

Investigators said there was another person at the home, asleep on the couch, who was also robbed.

The victim said a cellphone, keys and some other items were taken. Investigators said an arrest warrant was issued for an apartment on Barrington, near Starcrest, on the northeast side, where the stolen items were found.

Sheriff’s deputies said Williams and Roberts were arrested at the apartment on Barrington. The other three suspects have not yet been arrested.
