Man accused of forcing child into car with a gun

SAN ANTONIO - A San Antonio man faces charges after Sheriff’s deputies said he forced a child into his car with a gun and shot at the child’s father.

Alberto Sanchez, 20, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and terroristic threats from an incident on October 3.

Sheriff’s deputies said Sanchez came to the child’s home, pulled out a gun and demanded the child get into his vehicle.

The father of the child then got into his car and began chasing Sanchez’s car, according to the report.

At some point, deputies said Sanchez was stopped at a stop sign, and fired the gun toward the child’s father’s car.

The car was hit twice, in the center of the windshield and the front passenger tire.

Deputies said Sanchez sped away and the father continued to follow until deputies arrived.

The bond for Sanchez was set at $75,000 for the aggravated assault charge and $3,000 for the terroristic threats charge.
