SAN ANTONIO - Friends and family gathered for a fundraiser for David’s Legacy Foundation on Saturday.
The Tribe CrossFit gym held workouts and a silent auction in memory of David Molak.
They're also taking a stand against cyber-bullying.
In January of 2016, 16-year-old David killed himself after being bullied on social media.
David's family pushed for bills calling for harsher punishments for cyber bullying.
“Number one, raise awareness,” Nick Vera said. “Then two, as a fundraiser to help them with all their efforts to promote David's Law and everything they're trying to get done to again, further the movement with cyber-bullying and anti-bullying.”
Many people who do CrossFit at The Tribe considered David a little brother. Every month the member who best exemplifies his spirit receives an award named in his honor.
