Jeff Brady joins KENS 5 Eyewitness News as evening anchor

SAN ANTONIO — Jeff Brady has been named the new weeknight news anchor for KENS 5 Eyewitness News.

Jeff is joining news anchor Sarah Lucero, chief meteorologist Bill Taylor and sports director Joe Reinagel on KENS 5's newscasts at 6 and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"Jeff comes to us with 20 years of broadcasting experience," said Tom Cury, KENS 5 President and General Manager. "He is a strong newsman and has great energy and perspective to share with the KENS 5 team. We are confident viewers will enjoy having him back in San Antonio."

Brady, a Texas native, comes to San Antonio from Dallas. He served as an anchor and reporter at WFAA from 2000 to 2009. Before that, he was the evening anchor at San Antonio's KSAT 12 from 1995 to 2000.

Prior to beginning his career in journalism, Brady served in the Persian Gulf War as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Jeff is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He is married and has three children.

"Our viewers come first. Jeff was born and raised in Texas and he knows the state," KENS 5 Executive News Director Jack Acosta said. "I'm thrilled to add him to the team."
