Gunman opens fire on trio traveling on Loop 1604, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO -- Three men fell victim to a drive-by shooting in northwest San Antonio just after midnight Friday.

Police said the trio had just left a party when another car pulled up next to them and opened fire as they drove down Loop 1604.

Investigators said one of the bullets struck the driver. The victim managed to pull over near Northwest Vista College and get help, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Paramedics transported the man to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital and said he's expected to be OK. No details were given about the condition of the other two occupants inside the vehicle.

Officers said the suspects fled the scene and have not been identified.
