Guadalupe County high water rescue, driver safe

High water rescue

GUADALUPE COUNTY - A woman is safe and sound after a high water rescue in Guadalupe County on Saturday.

Texas Game Wardens posted a photo on their Facebook page of the submerged car in Cibolo Creek near New Berlin.
They said in the post the woman drove around barricades and into high water.  Fast moving water then swept the car for about 500 yards before it finally stopped on a sand bar.
New Berlin firefighters rescued her with the help of a game warden.
While the woman is safe, she could be facing charges. It’s against the law to go through high-water barricades.
