Gas prices dropping for the first time since Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas Coast

SAN ANTONIO - The pain at the pump is easing up for the first time since Hurricane Harvey.

The average price for of unleaded in Texas is at $2.52 per gallon and has dropped by two cents, according to AAA.

In San Antonio, the price dropped by one cent and is currently $2.50 per gallon of unleaded.

It may not seem like much of a drop, but experts said it’s the first time since Hurricane Harvey that we have seen any downward movement in prices.

Gas supply and distribution dropped shortly after the storm, leading to panic buying and long lines at the pump here in San Antonio. The price of gas also jumped during that time.
