Fundraiser held for boys killed in rollover

Fundraiser for boys killed in rollover

SAN ANTONIO -- A barbecue fundraiser was held Sunday to help with funeral expenses for two children killed in a rollover crash earlier this week.

The boys, eight-year-old Adrian Lorio and six-year-old Isaac Lorio, along with their aunt Victoria Robles were killed in the crash that happened at LP 410 and 37.

The mother of the boys, 24-year-old Destiny Martinez, was also in the SUV. She, her brother, and her two other children were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Britany Martinez, the victims’ aunt, said they're leaning on each other for support.

“This is a big heartbreak. This is something that you don't want to wake up to and hear that your cousins, your nephews, your sons have passed away.” Martinez said. “Since they passed everybody came together as a family to do this plate sale and help one another so we can put these babies down to rest.”

Police said no one was wearing a seatbelt. A vigil will be held for the victims Sunday night.
