SAN ANTONIO -- A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 6 a.m. Friday and will be in effect until noon.
"I feel we could really have a problem on our hands if enough moisture moves in before sunrise," Bill Taylor, KENS 5 Chief Meteorologist said. "Icing of bridges and and overpasses as well as area roads could be an issue."
CPS Energy said its customers should expect to see their electricity bills go up because of the cold weather that has impacted South Texas.
"Combined with the 17 nights in January that dipped below 40 in our local area, higher gas prices, state-mandated regulatory fees, and an approved rate increase that goes into effect this month, will all impact bills," the utility wrote in a press release.
